The Wall Street Journal posted an article discussing the fact that jobs for teenagers are disappearing. The article further discusses the primary reason the economy of course and the raise in the minimum wage. The effects of raising the minimum wage is negative for this age group Business are cutting cost therefore they cannot hire many teens. Job creation cannot occur under these circumstances. The article states that the rate of unemployment among teens in September was 25.9%
The article recommends no more increases to the minimum wage and teenager gaining new skills to be more competitive in the job market.
