Spring break is officially here! Winter is gone and schools are closed for a week! What are your spring break plans? Are you planning to get out of town? How about visiting another country?
Due to the economy, many are cutting back on their travel plans and doing local activities instead (http://www.ajc.com/services/content/printedition/2009/04/04/springbreak0404.html). However, if you saved up, you can go anywhere you want. Travel prices are not that bad.
There was a great opportunity this weekend to attend the AJAIC Spring Break event in Florida hosted by AJAIC Internacional. However, it was canceled.
Where are you planning to go? Comment back with you plans. If your school had Spring Break already, let us know where you went.
I was suppose to go to the AJAIC Spring Break but i will be going to Nevada instead on a road trip. What about everyone else?
ReplyDeletei'm really sorry to hear that! i had already bought my ticket to Fl!!.. i'm still going anyway lol
ReplyDeletebut hey at least you have the opportunity to go out and do something! have fun, BEHAAAAAVE and be blessed!

Wow canceled.....hmmm in my church youth were anointed because they were going to this event as ambassadors of blessing, so i guess they were not informed of the cancellation.....ooops communication
ReplyDeleteI think this would have been a great opportunity for Distrito Oeste to come up with a back up event. A simple invite for a day at the beach or a park outing would have been nice for us all to share in.
ReplyDeleteHello!
ReplyDeleteWell, sadly, I got SICK during my spring break, so I was stuck in bed for the most part :( But any break is a good break!!! I needed the time off from school, sleeping in helped ALOT! =)

I'm glad you are now recovered!
ReplyDeletePraise God!
I love the back up event idea to the beach, that would have been fun...but we can't forget the overly religious stuff, the higher ups would had maybe cancelled the beach event
ReplyDeleteWhere there is a will, there is a way. Don't forget that we have power through prayer. No "higher ups" can resist that.
ReplyDeletethe back up event, would have been lovely! unfortunately...the event was canceled perhaps a wk and a half before with only 4 people signed up...so for the church representatives, sorry to say but that wouldn't have been official =] because they were not signed up to go through the district..sorry!
ReplyDeletewhich leads to the 'communication suggestion'...who to communicate that it was canceled? to the people signed up of course! =P
and as far as the 'back up' event, there really wasn't enough time to plan, coordinate, invite and especially getting it approved in a time frame of 10 days. =]
perhaps, some may think 'oh man that was do-able, i could have done it.' =] and yes of course if it were a local church event but when it's a district event things are totally different...every event is PLANED at least 1 1/2 month in advanced and it is SCHEDULED & APPROVED one year in advance. =]
so, in that note i apologize for those who would have wanted an event this past wkend! that you all had an amazing eater wkend ...where each and everyone of us could remember what Jesus did for all of us...and not only during 'easter wkend' but every day we should thank Him for showing us the biggest love ever known in time, through His sacrifice.
May God bless you all...hope i answered a couple of curiosities, questions, or concerns!
and keep those comments coming!!

Amen to that sista! lol
ReplyDeleteIt's very easy to say..."we should'a, we would'a, we could'a" when we don't know how things unfolded, or how the whole district event planning process works...especially with a 10-day notice only =).
Thanks for the 411!
Saludos a todo AJAIC! Stay Blessed, and see you all at Invasion!! woot woot!!
I took a late Spring Break. I went on a road trip to Nevada. I hit the sun filled pools and just lounged. It was nice to get away for a lil bit.
ReplyDeleteNice of you to answer the questions, but I wonder if the district leaders from AJAIC florida were ever contact to see what really went down.
