The next day after breakfast we were supposed to head south to Homestead but enjoy Bradenton and its surroundings so much that we decided to stay an extra day. That day we had lunch on beach at the Beach House in Long Boat Key and tried to rent scooters but the guy in charge of the rentals was out of town. We kept cruising along the surrounding keys and made our way to Sarasota. We arrived at Lido Park and went on a trail through the mangrove trees. It reminded me a lot of my days in the "costa" of Guatemala. I would like to thank Sammy for taking time to show us around, his family for opening the doors of their home and to brothers from church for making us feel welcomed.
