Simply Florida : Miami

On Wednesday we headed south on I 75 towards Homestead. Halfway through we made a pit stop at Bonita Beach. Then we crossed alligator alley and finally made it to Kenfis place at 430p. When we arrived a culinary feast was waiting for us from "arroz con pollo" to my favorite "tostones". That evening we walked past American Airlines Arena were the dreaded Miami Heat play and made it to Bayside in downtown Miami. We went on a horse carriage ride around the bay and God opened the door for us to talk to the guy guiding the horse. We dropped the seed we wait for God to do the rest.

On Thursday we spent all day in Miami Beach. We walked Lincoln road and checked out the art deco architecture and all the little shops. For lunch we stopped at Davis Cafe II for a taste of the Cuban experience. I had the "vaca frita" and a "cafe cubano", it was great! After lunch we walked towards the beach where I saw the clearest bluish water I've ever seen. After getting our feet wet we walked Ocean Dr. and then purchased tickets to get on the "duck". The duck is an amphibious vehicle that offers a 90-minute tour of Miami. I would like to thank Tulio (Delmi's cousin) for his generosity. The tour took us through art deco district and Biscayne Bay were we got to see Star Island were celebrities like Shaq, Gloria Stephan and others reside. That night we had dinner at China Grill on 5th and Washington. From there we walked 11 street blocks hysterically looking for Starbucks. I really enjoyed the Miami culture, the fusion of many Latin American countries like Cuba, Brazil, Colombia, Paraguay and others. I would like to thank Kenfis and her family for being great hostesses. We pray that God keeps on blessing the Tormes family even more.
