About the B-Ball tournament, How do you think it should be played? 3 on 3 or 5 on 5. Should we have a time limit? or just play up to 10?

    Who's bringing the Gatorade bucket?

Okay Monte. Don't be trying to bring Allen Iverson or Tracy McGrady. The players have to be members from your church. A couple of years ago they tried to bring Compton Community College to play with them.

ummm...sorry you must have gotten your info wrong...or was that a joke? "compton community college" funny...but innacurate. We dont need to bring anyone in from anywhere, we got all the people right there. so don't trip. Anywho, how about we just let our gameplay do the talking deal? Once we have defeated everyone, then i'll skip around in a childish manner yelling out "i'm a winner, your a loser, lero lero" hahaha jk.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Anonymous12:27 AM

psst, by the way...If you read the rules carefully, It never actually states that you have to all be from the same church. Aslong as you are from AIC, then your covered. Basically, you can have one person from each church and form a team if you wnated to, and its still eligible. Just thought i'd let you know! -Eric (Monte Santo)

  18. Anonymous8:16 AM

Then that defeats the whole purpose of having the churches compete. It's always been the churches against each other and I don;t think that's gonna change this year. Good luck to all the churches. I predict Cristiana winning it all.

  26. Anonymous11:01 PM

Monte isn't trying to fight anyone, we are just stating the truth, we are winnning. thats all. Its not our fault some people from christian are running their mouth. (I will not mention who). So dude can keep on hatin' it just makes us want to beat them by even more.

  27. Anonymous7:51 AM

Hijos, dejen de pelear but I congratulate you guys for having a competetive spirit this is what young people do.
I hope you guys have a good time out there in whatever sport you guys play. And remember that whatever result there is at the end all of you guys are still brothers in Christ.
Remember that there will probably be new people joining us or people that have not been in church in a long time; lets get them saved instead of dissapointing them...

    Ephesians 4:31-32
Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice.
And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you...

WOW!!!!! I have to give you guys serious props for this year's picnic. I seriously was amazed at the number of people that attended from all the churches. I was looking around and I was like "WWWUUUH!!!" This year was definately the best picnic ever held by AJAIC...the park was really nice by the way..lol ---Shout Out to MDV (Manantial de Vida), and Monte Santo who showed great sportsmanship and serious talent in all the sports..OjO -- MDV almost got 2 first places, though they decided to stick with volleyball and let Monte keep b-balls. God Bless all you reading this post!!

    ReplyDelete
  53. Anonymous10:48 AM

I agree! This was the best AJAIC picnic I've been to. The games were very competitive with the exception of the whooping received by Puerta at the hands of MDV. If Jorge would've stayed healthy, MDV had the upper hand and could've won it all... ~ G ~

  54. Anonymous11:09 AM

Yeah, one of the best picnics. Whatever happened to the softball games that used to be played back in the days? Most of you don;t remember since you were so young. Maybe next year...Oh...wasn't Arca de Noe talking all kinds of smack? Did they even show up to the picnic? Mad props to Monte. You guys put it down.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Anonymous4:01 PM

¿Best picnic? I dont think so. It seemed like a worldly picnic to me, there was no type of Christian structure. AJAIC has lost there touch. Ya no reflejan Cristiandad. Soon we'll have RAPP worship in our confraternidades, I hope our new supervisor puts a stop to all this libertinaje.

What, you want to have a service half way through the picnic? What about bautizmos in the river? Come on, the Bible says that there's time for everything. Monday was time to have fun, and that's what the "pasadia" is for. Okay, what do you recommend we do at next year's picnic? I'll be sure to nominate Pedro Zepeda next year for directiva.

hey man wuts wrong with christian hip hop.actually i think i would be pretty cool 2 have some hip hop in church.soo yeah, all this spanish worship is gettin played out they sing the same old song over, and over, and over, again.and i disagree with the dude on top i wouldn't nominate him 4 squat.

  62. Anonymous1:43 PM

I know this blog is to talk about the picnic, but I really had to give my two cents on what I think about this whole hip-hop and Reggeaton "cristiano?" I am in complete disagreement with incorporating this type of music to worship God. The bible says that we are suppose to be the light of the world and try to make the world imitate us and not that we are suppose to imitate the world. Many people come to Christ because they are looking for something different than what the world has to offer, and many of them love the way we worship God. If we incorporate this type of "mundano" music, we are not offering people something different than what the world has to offer. Again, we are suppose to be the light of the world, not the imitators of the world. We are suppose to be the imitators of Christ!!!!! (This comment is coming from someone who recently came to Christ and was involved in everything that has to do with the streets. So I've been there and done that, this is why I truly believe what I believe and have said what I have said)
--Thanks for your time and GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  63. Anonymous2:40 PM

Wow, I agree with the previous "anonymous" I wish I knew your name, but...I've been in church since I was 9 years old and I never thought of Christian music and what it has become till I read your comment. You are right, Christian music should be inspirational and not a cheap Xerox copy of what the world is doing. Hello "Giovanni"? Christian music should be original and refreshing!

People saying Monte Santo won in basketball because Jorge got injured..but why dont they talk about the rest of the team that played that dont even go to Manatial de Vida or any church for that matter...

    ReplyDelete
  65. Anonymous5:33 PM

Yeah Jorge is good, I'm the first to admit it. I know it cuz i play with him nearly everyday (You'd think i'd be bettter! lol) but yeah, so he is good, yet 3 out of the 5 that were playing don't go to his church. Cesar, Jose and his brother aren't even christian...Basically manantial de vida didn't even have a squad! So Monte didn't win by luck. We won cuz we are good!

    ReplyDelete
  66. Anonymous5:47 PM

...By the way, that reggeton comment in Monte Santo couldn't be further from the truth. I know there's alot of people who dislike our church. I dont know whether its because we dress defferently then most. But know this, I rather have our jovenes dress the way they do, than to have them wear long sleeve shirts and bright colored ties in church and have everyother word coming out of their mouth being a curse word. The jovenes from my church showed more poise and actually acted like chrisitans when they were playing basketball. SO NO THERE ISN'T ANY OF THAT REGGETON STUFF AT OUR CHURCH! WE PRAISE THE LORD HOW WE'VE ALL WAYS PRAISED HIM! NOTHING IS CHANGING THAT.

KNOW they are looking for Christian singers the mundanos LABLES so el imitador es el mundo, David tocaba la musica, su mujer se burlaba de el, Dios condeno a esta mujer a no tener hijos por la burla que hiso a su marido, MY POINT REGGETON es un genero NO un estilo de vida

for example i brought up that maybe the youth should have their own service,we should not only have the musicians, their is other people at our church that would like 2 play and sing but they don't put them.soo yeah things like that.umm who asked this again?
    -frank

    ReplyDelete
  87. Anonymous4:38 PM

    Donde estas Frank?

    ReplyDelete
  88. Anonymous4:40 PM

Franky...do you know why our pastors don't do that? Porque no estan viendo el esfuerzo por parte nuestra. Si nosotros tomamos enserio a christo, y realmente empesamos a trabajar en la obra, y nos esforsamos para ser mejores christianos, maybe they would listen to your request. But come on now dude, i'm the first to admit, we ain't all that spiritual, atleast not as we should be. Es facil ir a tocar y cantar, but you have to put in the work homie. Get involved with the church more, and you'll see that the Lord will begin to open doors. We both need to put in work, and try to motivate the rest of the jovenes in our church to do so also. That way we will have the pastors consent.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Anonymous4:40 PM

yeah, i agree with the previous "Anonymous." I have heard from many jovenes that they don't like their pastors very much because they don't let them participate in privilegios (i.e. lead in a devocional, play in the musical group, etc) and that their ideas get rejected. But the truth is that many of us jovenes just want all the privileges and rights to do what we want at church, yet most of us aren't willing to pay the price in order to gain privileges. Most of the jovenes just go to church to "kick it" and in addition they demand a right to play, or sing, or what not, and the thing is that we arent' making enough effort trying to be better christians. No estamos buscando de Dios como debe de ser, and our pastors know this. Like it says in Salmos 37:4, "Deleitate asimismo en Jehova, y el te concedera las peticiones de tu corazon." Tenemos que primeramente buscar a Jehova y su justicia, y despues todas las demas cosas vendran en anadidura.

I just think its interesting that we all recognize that we could be better christians, we could put more effort into our spirtual life, yet we don't get up and do it. Why is that? Anyone have any good explenations?
    -Eric (MS)

    ReplyDelete
  96. Anonymous8:19 AM

We don't do it because we look at the world around us and it attracts us more than serving God. Everything the world offers seems so much better and more fun, but that's what the devil is using to lure the youth away from God. Serving God and living a lifestyle that is Holy isn't easy but I think it's worth it. Just to think that a slip-up can cost me eternal life scares me. We have to be ready at ALL times because nobody knows when the Lord will return.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Anonymous12:10 PM

    Eric (MS),
We know that we need to get closer to God but we are distracted by what sorrounds us. Its like the Matrix what we see here in earth is not real if you see it with your spiritual eyes, its all a front. Eventually all this will end. We are deceived by our sorroundings that for example things, people, makeovers make us happy and satisfied. But does it really bring satisfaction or a desire for more? I think we all get caught up with the things of this plastic world, but the Bible helps us stay grounded on the big picture that life here on Earth one day will end and that eternity is just the beginning. ~ G ~

Yo G, those were some deep words. To just think about how long eternity is makes me want to be straight with God so that my eternity won*t be in a place of torment. Is living life according to our own will and not God*s really worth spending eternity in torment and suffering?
