I was in Denny's with some youth after a service
(something the youth almost always do), we had lots of
fun telling jokes, and telling funny stories. I
finally went to the register to pay and after a man
approached me and ask me "why are you so different?",
a bit puzzled I respond it's because I have the love
of Christ in me. A little shocked at my response he
asked another question "what do you believe in", after
a second of carefully thinking of my response, I
respond saying I believe in the Father, Son and the
Holy Ghost, I believe in Jesus Christ who died on the
cross for my sins and rose in 3 days, I believe that I
need to repent my sins to obtain salvation and I
believe in the comfort that the Holy Spirit brings.
Even more shocked he stood there in awe, thinking for
awhile. After he had thought of what to say next, he
went on to ask why we are bonded to all our pain and
suffering. I got to share my testimony and speak to
him about Christ. After our conversation, though he
did not accept Christ I know there is a seed planted.
I was eager to introduce him to the other youth that
joined us at Denny's. He looked to everyone and asked
"what do you believe in?". Everyone looked at each
other confused and one youth half way responded saying
"Christ?". At that moment I realized that, that is the
condition of our youth today! The youth we see raising
there hands, feeling the Holy Spirit, Sing and attend
many activities did not know what they believe in. I
turn my question over to you reader...
Why is it that our youth today, do not know what they
believe in?

ReplyDeletewe're not all at the level of being able to stand up and express what we feel for the Lord. We might not know how to share him, or plain and simple scared to do it... Its a shame really, why not share such a marvolous blessing? such a huge gift as his salvation? its time to reflect, have faith and ACT. "...la fe sin obras es muerta...-Santiago 2:20".... Time to do wat God demands and preach the Gospel to all creature... Time to spread the word, spread his LOVE! ! !
