    THANKSGIVING PRAYER
    by Karen Reddick

    Let us give thanks for all God’s gifts so freely bestowed upon us:

    For the beauty and wonder of creation,
    earth, and sky and sea:
    For all that is gracious in the lives of men and women;
    For our daily food and drink, our homes and families, and our friends;
    For minds to think, hearts to love, and hands to serve;
    For health and strength to work,
    And leisure to rest and play;
    For the brave and courageous,
    Who are patient in suffering and faithful in adversity;
    For all valiant seekers after truth, liberty, and justice;

    We give thanks for all that others have done for us.
    For those who taught us when we were children;
    For those who in the days of youth
    Gave us the guidance which kept us from going astray;
    For those who to this day love us
    And surround us with their care; and
    For those who pray for us.

    Now thank we all our God with heart and hands and voices. AMEN

Also He allowed me to see our brothercito Noe "Junior" preach the Gospel to a needy crowd of 1000+ at "Aldea Centro 2, Nva. Concepcion, ESC, Guatemala". All the Glory be to God! I was most lifted to see brother/amigo Tony Alvarez show his SUPPORT by coming down and enduring the humid weather of "La Costa"; mosquitos included. It seem surreal to see Tony seating "shot gun" as we cruised down the green scenery of "Ruta al Pacifico", stopping along the way for some "Papalinas", "Tiki", "Agua Salvadidas" and not to mention Pollo Campero @ Aurora International. LOL before my departure. It was a true blessing and a lasting memory. Geoffrey

    well it seem to me all AJAIC decided to show up. i could maybe take some blame, 5 of us from our church decide to show up at the last minute. and many other did the same. In my opinion we cannot blame it on the directiva

    ReplyDelete
  71. Anonymous3:15 PM

    paying at the does not always work, yes this is true, but if we look at past years, the places have been big yet empty. and i agree with the previous comment, all AJAIC decide to come at the last minute and not to mention the juveniles.

    Must people be so critcal and judgemental?

    ReplyDelete
  76. Anonymous4:52 PM

    I dont think these negative comments are going to get anywhere. One things is to give suggestions and one thing is to Criticize putting others down.

    "Don't speak evil against each other, my dear brothers and sisters. If you criticize each other and condemn each other, then you are criticizing and condemning God's law..."James 4:11

    ReplyDelete
  77. Anonymous5:06 PM

    I definately have to agree with the rest of the comments. Last year's banquet was a lot more fun than this year's. Yeah, the place was nice, but very small. I agree that the directiva had no fault on the fact that we all didn't fit. PEOPLE, NEXT TIME DON'T WAIT TIL THE LAST MINUTE TO DECIDE WHETHER TO GO. IT IS BETTER TO BUY YOUR TICKET IN ADVANCE SO WE CAN HELP OUT THE DIRECTIVA ON PICKING A PLACE BIG ENOUGH FOR ALL OF US. Also, next time I think directiva should raise the price a lot higher for paying at the door and not just $3. That is what made a lot of people lag it and not buy the tickets in advance. Next time make it like $10 dollars more.

    Besides that, the food was very good compared to other year's. The girl who played guitar (Immer, I think is her name) definately was great. Just to show all the guy musicians out there that there are a lot of us girl musicians who can play and worship too (Immer, you go girl!!!).

    Next time, please don't put David as a spokesperson, he's cool but definately not funny (sorry dude). Also, although we do give God Praise and thanks for the miracle he performed on brother Joel, i think the occasion wasn't the right one for giving us his testimony. Todo tiene su tiempo y su lugar. This was a banquet, not a service.

    This was my experience, just felt like sharing.

    May God Bless You guys all, and have a blessed week!!

    Woooow! I'm on break from work and decided to take a look at our AJAIC page. What a shocker!

    Critique is good. You can grow from it and make adjustments. It usually comes from a person who loves you or has good intentions and has no problem telling you to your face or to your group; Not hiding from behind a curtain.

    Every “AJAIC” leadership has had those who will gripe and complain and criticize. No matter which way you do it, IT WILL BE TALKED ABOUT, both good and bad. The bad is always anxious to be heard and now it has a place to express itself freely.

    All these ugly and some hateful comments are nothing new, but seriously, AJAIC should edit this. You are letting evil have showtime on our glory pages.

    As our beloved country turns its back on God, freedom of expression has become freedom to cut down your fellow man. We, on the other hand, are followers of Christ, not cut throats.

    Anyway, Noe Jr. probably said it best, “Regardless, I’d pay again. It was a special time with the friends I love”.

    Let us pray for each other as if it were our last day in the land of the living.

    God bless you,
    Big Sista, Cha Cha

    P.S. AJAIC Directiva, You accepted the challenge, the work is not easy, but the blessings of God are incomparable to anything you will ever experience in this life. Adelante y Pal cielo con Cristo Jesus!!!

  90. Dear God:

    So far today, I’ve done all right. I haven’t lost my temper, haven’t been grumpy, nasty, selfish or overindulgent.

    I thank U 4 that, but in a few minutes, God, I’m going 2 get out of bed & from there on I’m going 2 need a lot more help. Thanking U in advance. Amen

    Oh, & P.S. Keep blessing our AJAIC leadership & all our Youth Groups 2!

  91. God bless us all. It was cool seeing friends that I hadn’t seen or talked to in some time. I had a good time even though the dinner was different from other years. Who should we blame for it not going that smoothly? Pointing the finger is not going to solve anything now. I think we all got to ask ourselves "What can I do to make it better next time". Being in directiva is hard because everyone expects so much out of you and the pressure is on. We need to work together to be the best that we can be in Christ. Increase the peace.

  92. Hello to all the saints.

    Urgent prayer needed right now. My husband was in an auto accident yesterday and his truck was totaled. He is alive because the saints always pray for us. Thank you so much.

    Please keep my family in your prayers now more than ever because we have some legal issues that are coming up and with God on our side, all things are possible.

    Thank you all

    Salmos 34 : 1 - 3

  94. DO THE HARD WORK

    "Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life" (1 Timothy 6:11-12). There is no effort-free route to Christlikeness. If we really want to become like Jesus, we must keep on doing the hard work.

    Conversion is the miracle of a moment; becoming like Christ is the work of a lifetime.

    For your prayers. My husband is doing fine and all as a result of the saints joining together in prayer.

    If you have any Bible verses of praise that you would like to dedicate to this great VICTORY IN JESUS, please let me hear from you today.

    God bless you all ! ! !

    A música "Só Posso Imaginar" indaga,

    Pela Tua glória envolto,

    Que sentirá o meu Coração absolto?

    Jesus, dançarei para Ti,

    Ou ficarei quedo em temor ali?

    Na Tua presença erguer-me-ei,

    Ou de joelhos cairei?

    Aleluia cantarei?

    Haverá algo que direi?

    Só Imaginar poderei!

    Muitas abencoes para tudos voces!!!
